Join us as an Electronics Engineer where your primary role will involve the design, testing, and implementation of innovative electronic systems and designs from initial concept to production. You will play a critical role in developing both integrated hardware and control systems, particularly for the automation of diamond manipulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and test electronic designs and systems:
- Utilize Altium for electronic design capture and PCB layout.
- Engage in hardware development using embedded microprocessors.
- Demonstrate experience in motor control, specifically with DC and stepper motors.
- Ensure designs comply with regulatory standards including EMC, Safety, and RoHS.
- Create and document cable forms and product wiring.
- Develop firmware in embedded C/C++.
- Exhibit proficiency in IT, including PC and networking technologies.
- Provide second-line technical support throughout various project phases.
- Collaborate in a project team environment, focusing on peer reviews, progress reporting, and meeting targets.
- Integrated hardware and control systems development:
- Collaborate with team members to create automation hardware for diamond manipulation.
- Apply your engineering skills to design and test hardware solutions for defined automation challenges.
- Integrate components such as collaborative robots, motors, microcontrollers, and pneumatic systems.
- Leverage rapid prototyping, development, and simulation techniques in your designs.
- Work closely with mechanical and software teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions across technology and processes.
- Oversee development throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Be responsible for test specifications for both PCBs and systems, along with all necessary production documentation.
- Safety compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Work with relevant safety personnel to uphold electronic safety regulations within the team.
