About the job
Electronics Engineer - Music Technology
Location: High Wycombe / Hybrid
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience + exceptional benefits
About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and seasoned Electronics Engineer to be part of our Novation hardware team. In this role, you will contribute to the creation of cutting-edge controllers and musical instruments.
Your passion for music technology, combined with your solid engineering expertise and proven product delivery experience (minimum 3 years in music technology or a related field), will make you the go-to design authority for your hardware products. You will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through to production.
In collaboration with Product Owners, you will define key features and requirements, create system-level designs, and select essential technologies and components. Your responsibilities will extend to designing schematics and printed circuit boards (PCBs). Effective planning and timely delivery against production schedules will be crucial, necessitating strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate adeptly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A significant part of your role will involve designing and troubleshooting hardware, thus a methodical approach to measurement, analysis, and fault detection is vital. Experience in signal integrity, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and analog debugging is highly desirable.
You will join a collaborative team of skilled engineers in a welcoming and inclusive workplace, where our shared enthusiasm for music and technology is at the forefront. We foster a culture of peer mentoring and continuous personal development.
While we support flexible work arrangements, due to the practical nature of this role, you will be expected to spend a substantial amount of time onsite at our High Wycombe headquarters.
