About the Role:
Join our dynamic team as an Email Marketing Specialist, where you will be responsible for strategizing, creating, and enhancing email campaigns that foster engagement, nurture leads, and drive conversions. This role uniquely blends creative copywriting skills with technical expertise in email service providers (ESPs) and performance analytics. You will manage the entire campaign lifecycle, from audience segmentation and automation to deliverability and insightful reporting, ensuring email remains a key revenue-generating channel.
Key Responsibilities:
Campaign Development & Execution:
- Design and launch email campaigns utilizing platforms such as HubSpot, Klaviyo, Marketo, Mailchimp, or ActiveCampaign.
- Create compelling subject lines, body content, and calls to action tailored to specific audience segments.
- Develop responsive email templates that adhere to brand standards, including HTML/CSS adjustments as needed.
Audience Segmentation & List Management:
- Manage and maintain databases with 20,000 to 200,000+ contacts.
- Segment audiences based on persona, lifecycle stage, engagement level, and geographic location.
- Conduct routine list clean-ups by removing hard bounces, spam traps, and inactive users.
Automation & Nurture Programs:
- Create drip campaigns, abandoned cart flows, and behavioral triggers to enhance user engagement.
- Test workflow logic to ensure automated campaigns perform effectively.
Deliverability & Compliance:
- Monitor inbox placement and sender reputation using tools like Litmus, GlockApps, or Postmark.
- Oversee domain health, including DNS/SPF/DKIM settings and suppression lists.
- Ensure compliance with regulations such as CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA.
Performance Optimization:
- Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, calls to action, and sending times.
- Analyze performance metrics including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and unsubscribe rates.
- Refine campaigns based on data-driven insights.
Reporting:
- Create weekly and monthly performance dashboards for campaigns.
- Track revenue attribution by integrating ESP data with Google Analytics, Looker, or CRM dashboards.
- Communicate findings and strategic recommendations to sales and marketing leadership.

- Proficient in at least one major ESP (HubSpot, Klaviyo, etc.).
