Your Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage requests for patient health information, adhering to company and facility protocols.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all sensitive information.
- Maintain proficiency in company and facility software.
- Comply with the Code of Conduct and policies set forth by the company and customer facilities.
- Communicate site challenges and workload fluctuations to management.
- Support additional responsibilities as required.
- Consistently apply medical privacy regulations to prevent unauthorized disclosures.
- Oversee patient health records management.
- Safeguard patient records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Prepare and organize new patient charts using both paper and electronic health records.
- Assemble medical records in standard order, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Create digital images of documents for electronic medical records storage.
- Respond to internal and external requests for patient records, ensuring proper retrieval and transmission.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls professionally.
- Assist with patient walk-ins and other administrative duties as needed, including faxes, mail, and data entry.
- Meet productivity expectations as established at the specific site.
- Schedule record pick-ups when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
