About the job
Role:
As an EMC Backup Engineer, you will be integral to the architecture, configuration, development, integration, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing support of our Backup infrastructure environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery plans and enforce robust backup and archival protocols.
- Design and execute innovative solutions for data storage and management.
- Perform software upgrades, apply necessary patches, and ensure the physical security of sensitive data.
- Collaborate with business and application development teams to gather requirements and propose effective storage and backup solutions that adhere to established standards.
- Oversee offshore technical teams responsible for storage management and backup operations to ensure seamless functionality.
- Manage disaster recovery data replication processes to guarantee data recoverability.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Backup and Recovery Best Practices, with a particular focus on EMC Networker.
- Maintain a solid understanding of Security Compliance including data privacy laws and practices.
- Possess technical proficiency in Virtualization Technologies.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Azure is a valuable asset.
