What You'll Be Doing:
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our dynamic London team, where you will significantly contribute to providing exceptional Employee Relations support throughout the organization, particularly during M&A integration activities. As the go-to expert for ER matters in our integrating businesses, you will offer valuable guidance and assist the wider organization during quieter times.
This role demands critical thinking, early risk identification, and the ability to adeptly manage complex or ambiguous situations, leading to effective resolutions. Candidates should have experience in facilitating consultation processes and managing intricate employee relations cases, such as grievances, disciplinary actions, and sensitive investigations, ensuring outcomes are robust and compliant with legal standards.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Building and nurturing trusted relationships across the organization at various levels through collaboration and credibility.
- Contributing to the continuous enhancement of HR systems and practices.
- Staying updated on current case law, identifying implications for our practices, and proposing necessary improvements.
- Assisting HR Business Partners in delivering change initiatives, including restructuring, redundancies, TUPE consultations, and other M&A activities.
- Leading or participating in specific projects such as policy and process reviews, SMCR, Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), and whistleblowing initiatives.
- Providing support to the broader HR Senior Team as needed.
- Offering HR advice and guidance to assigned client groups.
- Taking ownership of employee relations cases, ensuring thorough investigations, documentation, and resolutions in accordance with legal and policy frameworks.
- Advising on employee relations matters, including performance improvement plans, sickness absence management, grievances, and disciplinary actions, while escalating issues when necessary.
- Supporting on various leaves of absence, such as maternity/paternity leave, and changes to terms and conditions, including flexible working requests.
- Proactively aiding the wider team of HR Advisers, sharing your integration-specific knowledge and experience as appropriate.
- Compiling and analyzing HR Management Information.
