Key Responsibilities
While each project has its unique demands, contributors may be tasked with:
- Crafting sophisticated energy engineering challenges that reflect real-world scenarios;
- Assessing AI solutions for accuracy, underlying assumptions, and limitations;
- Verifying calculations or simulations utilizing Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy);
- Enhancing AI reasoning to meet industry-standard logic;
- Implementing structured scoring criteria for complex, multi-step problems.
Desired Qualifications
This role is particularly suitable for energy engineers proficient in Python who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Ideal candidates will possess:
- A degree in Energy Engineering or a related field, such as Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or Electronics;
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in energy engineering;
- Excellent written English skills (C1/C2 level);
- Strong proficiency in Python for numerical validation;
- A reliable internet connection.
Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, EMP, CEM) and experience with international or applied projects are advantageous.

Project Time Commitment
For this initiative, tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases, contingent on project demands. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload.
Compensation
- Paid contributions, with rates up to $15/hour*;
- Fixed project compensation or individual rates, based on project specifics;
- Some projects may include incentive payments.

Higher rates may be offered to specialists with unique expertise, while lower rates may apply during onboarding or less critical project phases.
