Role Overview
Each project will present unique challenges, and contributors may be required to:
- Develop complex energy engineering problems that reflect industry standards;
- Assess AI solutions for accuracy, assumptions, and limitations;
- Utilize Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy) for the validation of calculations or simulations;
- Refine AI reasoning to conform to established industry logic;
- Implement structured scoring criteria to resolve multi-step problems.
Ideal Candidate Profile
This role is well-suited for energy engineers with Python experience who are interested in part-time, project-based work. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in Energy Engineering or related disciplines, such as Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or Electronics;
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in energy engineering;
- Advanced written English skills (C1/C2);
- Strong proficiency in Python for numerical validation;
- A reliable internet connection.
Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, EMP, CEM) and experience in international or applied projects will be considered advantageous.

Project Commitment

Compensation
Contributors can earn up to $33 per hour, contingent upon their experience and contribution pace. Please keep in mind that compensation varies across different projects based on scope, complexity, and required expertise.
