Role Overview
As the Engineering Manager for GitLab Delivery, you will lead a high-performing, globally distributed team, dedicated to streamlining the deployment, upgrade, and operation of GitLab within customer infrastructures. You will foster an environment conducive to team success, collaborate closely with a Product Manager to align business objectives with customer requirements and sound engineering practices, and oversee deployment tools that cater to a range from single-node virtual machines to extensive Kubernetes clusters. Your focus will be on enhancing reliability, upgrade speed, operational simplicity, and zero-downtime capabilities across GitLab.com, GitLab Dedicated, and self-managed environments, utilizing technologies such as Kubernetes Operators, Helm charts, and cloud-native deployment architectures. Moreover, you will engage with the Infrastructure Platforms department and partake in incident management to ensure the reliability of GitLab.com.
