The Position
The Engineering Team Leader will oversee the team's operations and act as the representative for all team members. The leader is expected to manage team dynamics effectively, fostering an environment where everyone can excel. Rather than being the top performer, the Team Leader will help others realize their full potential while directing the team towards optimized performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small product team of 3-5 engineers (both backend and frontend).
- Allocate 30% of time to management responsibilities while actively participating in the product development process.
- Engage in hiring processes for their team and assist peers as needed.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new engineers.
- Act as the spokesperson for the team, managing dynamics and encouraging peak performance.
- Provide continuous and constructive feedback.
- Support team growth and development, taking responsibility for the career advancement of each direct report.
- Offer guidance and coaching to the engineering team.
- Redesign engineering workflows to utilize autonomous agents as the default execution layer.
- Propose and implement agentic workflows.
