ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Engineer to champion our EHS initiatives. This pivotal role ensures that our facilities and personnel adhere to all relevant EHS regulations and defense industry standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support environmental permitting and testing initiatives.
- Act as the primary liaison for local, state, and federal regulatory agencies (e.g., DEQ, EPA).
- Maintain compliance with the EPA’s Risk Management Plan (RMP) program.
- Oversee waste management protocols to ensure adherence.
- Create and implement safety procedures, permits, and reports.
- Conduct and document safety inspections.
- Facilitate environmental and safety compliance audits and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and perform field assessments on safety performance.
- Assist in hazard identification and risk assessments in operational areas.
- Analyze incident trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Deliver on-site health and safety compliance support.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
