Environmental Test Technician (Starlink)
We are looking for a skilled Environmental Test Technician who excels in multidisciplinary testing, design development, and problem-solving. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers to support satellite hardware testing throughout the design and manufacturing processes, ultimately contributing to our groundbreaking fleet of Starlink satellites. The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, a quick learner, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is highly self-driven.
Responsibilities:- Assemble, instrument, and test satellite flight hardware throughout the development, production, and on-orbit correlation testing phases.
- Monitor and evaluate test asset and article performance during development and qualification campaigns.
- Activate and maintain space simulation test equipment, including thermal, thermal vacuum, HASS/HALT, vibration, and shock testing.
- Assemble, activate, and troubleshoot custom test racks and automated equipment interfaces to enhance lab capabilities and testing quality.
- Conduct structural tests for various large- and small-scale satellite components.
- Coordinate with engineering to plan, build, and activate test equipment, including mechanical assemblies and fluid systems.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and harnessing, including pressure transducers, flow meters, temperature sensors, accelerometers, and strain gauges.
