- Maintain cleanliness in the workshops, manage log books, and follow up on any outstanding requests.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organized.
- Complete work orders as per requests from the Coordinator/Supervisor to address operational needs.
- Engage in and execute any project work as required throughout the hotel.
- Handle all forms of repair and maintenance work within the hotel premises, including new additions or extensions to the hotel or other properties managed by the hotel.
- Conduct preventative maintenance following established guidelines to the satisfaction of the department.
- Ensure all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is completed promptly as required by the department.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diverse equipment, including laundry machines, air compressors, kitchen appliances, HVAC systems, cold rooms, pumps, motors, controls, and fans.
- Exhibit flexibility by adapting shift schedules and undertaking extended duties as necessary in emergencies as requested by the department.
- Carry a Samfex phone at all times along with a designated Dect phone, ensuring timely completion of all assigned Samfex requests without fail.
- Respond to Samfex and guest maintenance requests within 15 minutes of receipt.
- Report any Samfex items requiring major repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor and Senior Manager on duty.
- Involve yourself in and complete any project work required throughout the hotel.
- Address all types of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) repair and maintenance tasks within the hotel premises, including any new additions/extensions to the hotel or other properties maintained by the hotel.
- Immediately report any damages, maintenance needs, suspected equipment abuse, fire safety issues, negligence, or arson to the Assistant Director of Engineering or Director of Engineering.
- Adhere to prescribed safety standards, helping to maintain safe working conditions for yourself and others.
- Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
