About the Position
At bluefishai, we are pioneering the concept of agentic marketing. Our presence in the world is as significant as the innovations we create. We are seeking a dynamic Events Lead to take charge of our comprehensive events program, which includes our first-ever thought leadership event, sponsored industry gatherings, client roundtables, and immersive field experiences. In this role, you'll be both the visionary strategist and the meticulous executor, ensuring every facet of our events aligns with our overarching goals.
This senior role is ideal for an individual with a proven track record in establishing an events program from the ground up, who is eager to engage hands-on with the execution process.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Production
- Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of bluefishai's global events portfolio, including our inaugural one-day thought leadership event, sponsored events, client roundtables, webinars, and field experiences.
- Oversee all event operations from inception to completion, managing budgets, timelines, creative development, main stage production, breakout sessions, on-site staffing, and vendor relationships with precision and creativity.
- Project manage external agencies and production teams to deliver exceptional event experiences through thoughtful design, world-class production, and seamless logistics.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with city tourism boards, destination management companies, convention centers, hospitality services, and unionized venues.
- Develop and manage custom registration sites and event applications that capture travel requirements and tailor schedules.
- Travel as necessary to lead on-site execution, manage teams and partners, and represent bluefishai with professionalism and authenticity.
- Oversee logistical requirements for planning, staging, and shipping of tradeshow properties, products, and support materials.
Executive Management
- Work closely with executive leaders and cross-functional teams to define event objectives, content, and storytelling that embody our vision, values, and voice.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, offering strategic insights, creative direction, and effective problem-solving under pressure.
- Establish staffing requirements, obtain necessary approvals, and recruit personnel to support events as needed.
- Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders through detailed briefs and regular planning updates.
Content & Programming
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop engaging content and programming that enhances the overall event experience.
