Role Overview:
Join our dynamic team at d2b-1 as a Bookkeeper / Accounts Administrator, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations of our marine business group. This is a senior position that requires a proactive individual who will take full ownership of our accounts function, ensuring financial accuracy, discipline, and operational efficiency across multiple entities. Your work will directly impact the stability and success of our businesses.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily bookkeeping for three entities using Xero.
- Maintain precise and timely financial records.
- Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payment tracking.
- Actively monitor arrears and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Handle intercompany invoicing and reconciliations, ensuring accurate cost allocations.
- Support and enhance financial systems, controls, and reporting structures.
- Allocate costs, hours, and expenses accurately to respective jobs and entities.
- Conduct project cost tracking and assist in profitability reporting.
- Ensure integrity of financial data for operational decision-making.
- Collaborate with staff to confirm timely submission and correct coding of timesheets.
- Lead the end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring compliance with New Zealand employment regulations.
- Prepare financial reports for management and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
