The Phoenix at Lake Joy is actively searching for dedicated and skilled Cooks to become an integral part of our culinary team!
As a Cook, you will report directly to the Food and Beverage Director and play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our residents.
Shift Information
Full-time: Monday to Friday; Every other weekend required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals that meet our quality, quantity, and service standards while adhering to hospitality service excellence.
- Manage food production effectively in the absence of the Lead Cook or Food and Beverage Director.
- Ensure all food handling complies with sanitary procedures and regulatory standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in food service areas, including accurate record-keeping for food inventory and safety compliance.
- Adhere to posted menus and utilize Phoenix standardized recipes to prepare meals in a timely manner.
- Prepare special dietary needs and modified textures as directed.
- Monitor all food items to uphold quality, temperature, and taste standards consistently.
- Maintain sanitary conditions in the kitchen and food preparation areas to comply with health regulations.
- Record temperatures for equipment, refrigerators, freezers, and cooking processes to ensure safety standards are met.
