Role Overview
As a vital member of our team, the Lab Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and adherence of construction materials to established project specifications and standards. Your responsibilities will include performing both routine and specialized laboratory tests, meticulously maintaining accurate records, and providing engineering and site teams with reliable data crucial for informed decision-making. This position is fundamental in safeguarding the quality and integrity of materials utilized in infrastructure and building projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a variety of laboratory tests on materials including concrete, asphalt, soil, aggregates, and other construction materials.
- Prepare samples for testing, operate and maintain testing equipment, ensuring proper calibration.
- Accurately record, analyze, and report test results in compliance with project standards and protocols.
- Verify that materials delivered to the site meet approved specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain meticulous laboratory documentation, logs, and quality control records.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials to the engineering and QA/QC teams.
- Support field testing activities and collaborate with site teams as required.
- Ensure laboratory safety, cleanliness, and adherence to relevant regulations.
