POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Facilities Manager at Celcuity, you will play a crucial role in managing the daily operations and maintenance of our laboratory, research, and manufacturing environments. Reporting to the R&D Laboratory Manager, your primary focus will be to ensure that all facility systems operate safely and efficiently while adhering to FDA, GMP, and OSHA standards. This position supports a high-complexity, regulated laboratory environment and is vital for maintaining operational excellence.
Your responsibilities will include leading critical infrastructure initiatives, such as cleanrooms and specialized laboratory utilities, to guarantee operational readiness for scientific and clinical activities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Facilities Operations: Manage daily operations for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems (BAS) to ensure continuous facility performance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all facilities comply with cGMP, ISO, and safety regulations, actively supporting audits and maintaining documentation for regulatory inspections.
- Laboratory Infrastructure: Oversee critical utilities such as DI/RO water systems, lab vacuum systems, process chilled water, CO2 gas, and liquid nitrogen storage.
- Maintenance & Equipment Management: Coordinate preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of facility systems and laboratory equipment using CMMS (e.g., LIMBLE) to minimize downtime.
- Environmental Health & Safety (EHS): Implement protocols for the safe storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous chemicals and biological materials.
- Project Management: Lead facility upgrades, laboratory expansions, and capital improvement projects to enhance operational capabilities.
