The Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled Facilities Technician II to become a valuable member of our team. The ideal candidate will exhibit meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and an eagerness to learn. This position involves executing or supervising vendor-led maintenance and calibrations on GMP Utility systems, processing equipment, and cleanroom infrastructure within a highly regulated cGMP environment. A commitment to participate in an on-call rotation and provide additional shift coverage, including support during annual shutdowns, is required. The typical schedule for this role is from Wednesday to Saturday.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
- Manage completion of all maintenance tasks using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) by meticulously documenting work performed in both electronic and written formats.
- Promptly report any maintenance failures or issues to management.
- Assess equipment performance and suggest improvements for maintenance practices or system design.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance maintenance methods.
- Interpret P&IDs, equipment/system layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications to effectively plan and execute maintenance and repairs.
- Support operations during annual shutdowns.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on process support systems and equipment, including but not limited to: pumps, valves, autoclaves, centrifuges, reactors, biosafety cabinets, isolators, WFI generation/distribution, clean steam, compressed gases, and HVAC systems.
- Perform rounds on both GMP and non-GMP equipment and systems.
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and inspecting motors and drives.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine corrective actions by consulting blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
- Repair machinery, equipment, or structures using various tools and precision instruments.
