Job Objective
The Farm Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing both preventive and corrective maintenance activities on the farm's electrical systems, process controllers, and electrical equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation and extended service life of all machinery and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
2. Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and systems, utilizing test equipment and hand tools to identify breakdown causes and rectify issues.
3. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
4. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to detect hazards, defects, and necessary adjustments or repairs, ensuring compliance with safety codes.
5. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in wiring, equipment, and fixtures using devices such as mega-ohmmeters and voltmeters to confirm safety and compatibility.
6. Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, including motors.
7. Place conduit within designated areas and pull insulated wires or cables through conduits to complete circuits.
8. Remain on-call during off-hours and rest days to maintain optimal functionality of all electrical equipment.
9. Address electrical repairs and other requirements for Grow Fin Farms and Poultry.
10. Confirm SAP time as required.
11. Conduct SAP requests for preventive, corrective, breakdown, and maintenance-related work orders.
12. Ensure compliance with 5S activities and ISO 9001:200.
