The Feedmill Boiler and Compressed Dry Air Engineer is tasked with overseeing the effective operation and monitoring of the Steam Boiler plant and Compressed Dry Air facility. This role includes performing necessary maintenance to guarantee a consistent, efficient supply of steam and compressed air to all feed mill operations, prioritizing safety and environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Operation and Maintenance
Skillfully operates the computerized biomass boiler system, adhering to all specifications and operational sequences.
Provides timely feedback to maintenance teams regarding any deviations or alarms related to equipment performance.
Regularly measures and monitors raw biomass fuel, including recycled materials.
Continuously tracks and logs data from air compressors and dryers, ensuring compliance with defined parameters.
Accurately records and reports operational metrics from various monitoring devices.
Interprets technical manuals or drawings related to biomass boiler systems and processes effectively.
Conducts regular inspections of the CDA facility and biomass boiler equipment, documenting any issues or damages.
Operates backup diesel boilers when the biomass boiler cannot meet steam demands for feed mill production.
Executes preventive, corrective, and proactive maintenance as outlined in SAP EAM.
Energy Production, Supply, and Management:
Monitors and optimizes energy production consistently.
Identifies and recommends strategies to enhance energy production and conservation, while implementing and evaluating approved measures.
Prepares and submits reports as directed by the team leader.
Collaborates with engineering, procurement, and warehouse teams to manage biomass feedstock and other supplies for uninterrupted operations.
Air Pollution Control Management:
Monitors and logs the quality of emissions from the smokestack.
Works closely with the Pollution Control Officer to ensure compliance with emission standards set by the DENR.
Reports any irregularities in emissions to the team leader promptly.
Risk Management:
Coordinates with the Environmental Management Team to promote safe operational practices.
