As the Field Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operations of US Energy Minerals, specializing in Wood Pellet Fuel and Coal sample inspections. This role is vital in ensuring the quality of client samples arriving from vessels, which is a core service we provide.
- Lead and manage a team of Field Services Technicians by scheduling daily tasks, providing training, and directing workflow effectively.
- Collaborate closely with shift technicians to ensure all work is completed efficiently during each shift.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers in the field, maintaining strong communication with Branch Managers and Operations Managers.
- Address customer complaints promptly and resolve any operational issues that arise.
- Provide technical support and advice to Field Technicians to enhance their performance.
- Guide staff in executing tasks in line with established procedures to ensure operational excellence.
- Motivate and monitor team performance, conducting regular training sessions to foster development.
- Ensure proper sampling, identification, preparation, and analysis of samples in accordance with established timelines and procedures.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss policies, procedures, and performance, while fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with Technicians to resolve client issues and uphold quality and customer satisfaction standards.
- Ensure that Field Technicians have access to necessary resources and information to perform their duties safely.
- May also involve laboratory responsibilities based on business needs.
- Comply with internal standards, policies, and procedures at all times.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
- Supervise a dedicated team of Field Services Technicians, making day-to-day operational decisions.
- Exercise authority for personnel actions including scheduling and training.
