The Field Service Representative is essential in delivering exceptional service to our customers. This role involves taking precise field measurements of homes before cabinet orders, overseeing cabinet installations, conducting minor troubleshooting, and performing quality inspections post-installation in the Charleston, South Carolina area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure all sites and compare actual measurements to plans to ensure precise orders and proper installations.
- Establish and nurture important relationships with customers.
- Track the progress of construction at assigned locations to ensure accurate field measurements and timely installations.
- Collaborate with sales representatives and order specialists when discrepancies in field measurements occur.
- Drive performance by mentoring installers and service technicians as necessary.
- Communicate measure outcomes and job completions with site superintendents.
- Conduct minor troubleshooting and address punch list items.
- Deliver and install parts as required following the initial installation.
- Guarantee customer satisfaction by performing quality walks and preparing punch lists at job sites using Salesforce.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain good housekeeping practices in all responsibilities.
- Ensure timely completion of scheduled tasks as detailed in Salesforce.
- Work closely with Customer Service Associates, Order Specialists, and Sales Representatives on issues requiring additional attention.
Desired Characteristics & Attributes:
- Previous experience in the home building products or construction industry is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with both customers and internal teams.
- Proficient with computers, office equipment, powered woodworking tools, hand tools, and mobile devices such as iPads.
- Ability to maintain accurate records for departmental accounting.
- Problem-solving skills in varied situations within industry standards.
- Ability to interpret instructions in various formats including written, oral, and diagrams.
- Contractor’s license and supervisory experience are preferred.
- Knowledge of cabinets is a plus.
