Join Our Team as a Field Service Technician!
At Vega Americas, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to deliver exceptional technical support and installation services for our clients. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while requiring occasional travel to customer sites. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring our equipment operates at peak functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure modified equipment at customer facilities, ensuring optimal functionality per specifications.
- Engage in overnight travel of up to 50% as needed.
- Prepare and ship radioactive materials following safety protocols.
- Review performance reports and customer documentation, diagnosing and inspecting malfunctioning or damaged products.
- Analyze findings to identify issues and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering and customer service teams to expedite problem resolution.
- Provide remote and on-site technical assistance for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Document service reports thoroughly for customer invoicing.
- Submit expense reports in accordance with company policy.
- Identify trends in technical problems to inform future product design and service improvements.
- Develop and update service handbooks and bulletins based on field investigations.
- Act as a communication bridge between customers and the company to ensure effective service delivery.
- Conduct training sessions on radiation safety and equipment operation for team members and customers.
