As a Field Technician I, you will play a vital role in the collection of samples and the inspection of products or raw materials for laboratory analysis. This position involves working under direct supervision and requires adherence to safety procedures and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect samples of products and raw materials during their transfer to various containers, vessels, barges, trucks, and/or rail.
- Ensure all sample containers and accompanying documentation are correctly labeled with identifying details, including the location, date, and time of collection.
- Deliver samples to the laboratory for detailed analysis.
- Assist in the preparation, reduction, and division of samples into appropriate sizes.
- Gather samples at designated locations, processing states, and specific time intervals.
- Conduct sample screening and other relevant physical tests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and containers before and after usage.
- Wear all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) relevant to the tasks at hand.
- Comply with all local and federal safety regulations and procedures.
- Perform preparation or laboratory duties as required by business needs.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures while executing other assigned duties.
