Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain comprehensive accounting records for our German and Swiss branches, adhering to the company's established practices.
- Implement and uphold internal control measures pertaining to all financial matters within the German and Swiss offices.
- Collaborate with department managers to analyze monthly results and provide necessary support in interpreting these outcomes.
- Coordinate with tax advisors to ensure timely resolution of all compliance-related issues.
- Strive to minimize redundancy in processes while safeguarding the integrity of the financial information.
Duties:
- Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist management in reviewing financial results, addressing inquiries, and delivering additional analysis as required.
- Monitor cash flow, including bank account reconciliations and adherence to InterSystems policies for surplus handling.
- Oversee local purchase and nominal ledgers as well as the payroll journal and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for employees in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.
- Review expense reports for compliance with policies and proper documentation, as well as VAT and tax conditions.
- Maintain monthly revenue and expense forecasts, alongside annual budgets.
- Prepare necessary documentation for tax advisors.
- Calculate and prepare commission statements for sales staff.
- Monitor accounts receivable ledgers and follow up on overdue customer debts.
