The Role
We are seeking a Finance & Operations Associate who will be integral in establishing transparency in our operations and developing scalable systems. You will take ownership of the financial and operational framework of our rapidly growing startup. Your responsibilities will include managing our budget and cash flow, liaising with external partners, and creating internal processes from the ground up, ensuring that nothing slips through the cracks. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the founding team and engage across various domains—finance, HR operations, legal coordination, vendor management, and more. This position is ideal for someone who excels in creating order and structure in an environment of ambiguity.
Your Responsibilities
• Take charge of maintaining the company's financial model, budget, and cash flow forecasts; assist in preparing investor-ready reports for financing.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and vendor payments.
• Collaborate with external accountants and legal advisors on bookkeeping, tax submissions, and compliance matters.
• Develop and refine internal operational processes, covering everything from onboarding new employees to managing software subscriptions and procurement.
• Assist in contract management for customer and partner agreements, working closely with the sales and business development teams.
• Monitor and report on vital business metrics and KPIs to the founding team.
• Manage daily team operations, including benefits administration, expense tracking, insurance, and office logistics.
• Act as the operational backbone of a dynamic team—identifying inefficiencies, implementing streamlined systems, and ensuring smooth operations.
Qualifications
• 2–4 years of experience in finance, operations, or a hybrid role, preferably within a startup or high-growth tech environment.
• Proficient financial modeling and spreadsheet skills—comfortable creating and managing budgets and forecasts.
