About the Team You'll Join
- This is a critical position leading and managing the Finance Team within the Finance Tribe.
- In addition to the Finance Team, the Finance Tribe also includes the FP&A Team. The Finance Team Leader will closely collaborate with various internal and external teams, including finance teams from affiliates.
- The Finance Team has recently led important agendas such as transitioning to K-IFRS, shortening closing schedules, and enhancing internal accounting management systems, and will continue to play a central role in significant events, supporting the growth of Toss Payments.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings while preparing separate and consolidated financial statements to respond to external audits.
- Manage accounting issues in accordance with IFRS, ensuring accurate and transparent reporting.
- Provide insights into the company's financial status and performance to assist management in making informed decisions.
- Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting procedures to manage financial risks.
- Design, operate, and evaluate internal accounting management systems to meet legal requirements.
- Manage changes to the internal accounting management system to enhance the reliability of financial statements.
- Oversee tax reporting and regulations to ensure compliance with relevant laws.
- Manage tax audits and reporting processes while formulating effective tax strategies.
- Optimize and identify areas for improvement in accounting systems and processes.
- Implement the latest technologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of accounting tasks.
- Update accounting processes in response to changes in relevant regulations and monitor ongoing compliance.
- Lead the accounting team to maximize performance and support the growth and development of team members.
- Supervise key accounting procedures and policies, effectively managing task allocations.
- Collaborate with various departments to provide accurate accounting information and support financial analyses.
Ideal Candidate
- Understanding of internal accounting management systems (ITGC and US SOX).
- Knowledge of how specific accounting issues impact financial statements and key financial ratios.
- Experience in complex accounting treatments (derivatives, goodwill impairment, stock options, deferred taxes, revenue recognition, M&A).
- 5+ years of experience in audit firms or 10+ years in in-house finance roles.
- CPA qualification (KICPA) preferred.
- Experience collaborating with audit firms and external experts.
- Experience with corporate spin-offs, new affiliate establishments, M&A, etc.
- Experience in system and process improvements aimed at shortening closing schedules.
- Experience leading initial system setups and enhancing/stabilizing accounting infrastructures.
- Experience with global accounting software such as SAP, Oracle.
- Strong internal communication skills with executives and operational departments.
