The Capital Programs team is tasked with the comprehensive management of over 500 ongoing modernization projects across NYCHA properties citywide. These critical investments ensure optimal building performance and quality living conditions, focusing on modernizing systems, interiors, exteriors, and grounds. Current projects prioritize upgrades to heating systems, elevators, roofs, facades, security systems, entryways, flood protection, community centers, lighting, and playgrounds, utilizing various delivery methods and procurement strategies with budgets ranging from $100,000 to $100 million per project.
Reporting directly to the Director of Capital Planning, the Financial Planning Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Financial Planning Unit within the Capital Planning Department. Key responsibilities encompass:
- Managing monthly and quarterly financial reporting to track the status of federal, state, and city funding for capital improvements across NYCHA’s portfolio.
- Coordinating the development and execution of the financial aspect of NYCHA's 5-Year Capital Plan.
- Assisting in prioritizing capital investments at NYCHA developments and strategically allocating federal, state, and city resources to support portfolio capital initiatives.
