Qualifications
Your Role Responsibilities
You will be pivotal in developing, maintaining, and optimizing our firmware codebase and toolchain, ensuring seamless integration between factory manufacturing processes and firmware release schedules.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Factory Firmware Development: Collaborate with the factory to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
Optimize the codebase for manufacturing efficiency.
Define and manage factory modes for testing during production.
Assist in collecting manufacturing data and visualizing it.
Analyze factory issues and modify firmware accordingly.
Support factory characterization of subsystems and components.
Debug, troubleshoot, and characterize products and components.
Driver Development:
Collaborate with the Firmware and Hardware teams to create drivers for sensors and mechanical components.
Assess factory environments to ensure robust drivers during manufacturing.
Design and implement efficient data flow, error handling, and real-time responsiveness in embedded systems.
Enhance firmware for power efficiency, performance, and memory constraints in resource-limited environments.
Analytics:
Oversee data collection at the factory.
Collaborate with backend teams to analyze data for continuous improvement.

We are seeking a talented Firmware Engineer in China to lead the design, development, and maintenance of durable factory firmware, drivers, and UI firmware for our cutting-edge IoT platform.
As a member of our small, agile team, you will contribute to high-quality experiences across on-device firmware, backend systems, and mobile applications, enabling our customers to connect seamlessly with Fellow’s products.
This position is located in Shenzhen or Guangzhou, China, and will involve firmware development as well as on-site factory bring-up and testing activities across Guangdong and other locations as required by the company.
