The Role
We are seeking highly driven Firmware Validation Engineers to spearhead the validation of firmware across all individual vehicle components and at the system level. This position demands a solid foundation in electrical engineering principles, a comprehensive understanding of avionics hardware components, and proven experience in designing and executing validation plans from the new product design phase through to manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with Firmware Engineers, Avionics Engineers, Manufacturing teams, and Flight Operations to ensure high-quality firmware releases for flight test operations and customer deployments.
Design and implement comprehensive test specifications for both system-level (airframe) and individual component tests, including nominal and fault-injection scenarios.
Develop software for Software-in-the-Loop (SITL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) simulations to support test specifications.
Conduct SITL and HITL tests, analyzing any issues identified during test runs.
Reproduce and investigate issues encountered during flight test operations.
Continuously enhance existing tools and introduce new ones to improve validation iteration times and scalability across all current and future airframe variants.
