Fixed Asset Manager

We are seeking a proactive Fixed Asset Manager to become an integral part of our Finance team. This role will be responsible for overseeing fixed asset accounting, software capitalization, and ensuring compliance with capital asset regulations across our expanding restaurant network.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete fixed asset lifecycle within Oracle Fusion, including asset creation, CIP tracking, transfers, retirements, disposals, reclassifications, and monthly depreciation processes across all locations.
- Oversee construction-in-progress accounting for new restaurant projects, remodels, and major equipment initiatives, ensuring timely capitalization aligned with placed-in-service dates.
- Prepare and analyze monthly fixed asset roll-forwards, depreciation schedules, and related journal entries during the close process.
- Maintain comprehensive book and tax depreciation schedules, including federal and state discrepancies, and collaborate with tax advisors on asset tax provisions and return support.
- Identify, track, and capitalize internal-use software development costs in accordance with ASC 350-40.
- Assist in property tax compliance across the restaurant portfolio.
- Design and document SOX-compliant controls regarding asset capitalization thresholds, useful life assignments, and disposal authorizations.
- Coordinate physical inventory and asset verification across all restaurant locations.
- Support the annual audit process with external auditors for PP&E, intangible assets, and related disclosures.
- Drive enhancements and automation in fixed asset workflows to promote efficiency and scalability.
Minimum Requirements
- CPA certification is preferred.
- 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, particularly in fixed assets within a multi-unit or multi-location setting.
- Hands-on expertise with Oracle Fusion Cloud Fixed Assets.
- Strong understanding of ASC 360 and ASC 350-40 standards.
- Experience with public company SOX compliance and external audit processes.
