Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define navigation system requirements.Research, analyze, and select sensor solutions for the navigation system.Create sensor models in simulation to evaluate navigation systems.Implement state estimation algorithms in flight software.Develop test methods that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Evaluate the navigation system through simulations, hardware-in-loop testing, and flight tests.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Proficiency in Kalman filtering, GNSS navigation, inertial navigation, or alternative navigation technologies.A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in developing and testing navigation algorithms.Experience with C/C++ flight software development and Python for data analysis and reduction.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in a relevant field.Expertise in probability theory, fault detection and exclusion (FDE), sensor error/noise modeling, or GPS-denied navigation.
