About the Role
We are on the lookout for a Forward Deployed Engineer who will engage directly with our clients, serving as the key technical representative during customer interactions, leading pilot projects and demonstrations, and facilitating clients' evaluations and successful implementation of our solutions. This position combines extensive customer engagement with hands-on technical execution. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in New York City.
What You'll Do
- Lead customer-focused engagements, including discovery sessions, pilots, and demos, serving as the primary technical advocate for both prospects and existing clients.
- Collaborate closely with customers, engineers, recruiters, and business leaders to identify developer requirements, listen actively, and develop practical, goal-oriented solutions.
- Ensure customer projects remain on schedule through disciplined execution and timely updates.
- Utilize appropriate tools, including AI when beneficial, to deliver faster, more reliable outcomes that enhance the customer experience with HackerRank.
- Work in partnership with Product, Engineering, and Go-To-Market teams to amplify the voice of the customer.
Who You Are
- A customer-facing technical expert with sufficient full-stack knowledge to configure, troubleshoot, explain web applications, and generate API scripts as needed (using Ruby or Python).
- Confident in leading discussions onsite with prospects and enterprise clients, gathering requirements, shaping technical strategies, and delivering impactful results.
- An articulate communicator capable of engaging deeply with technical teams while simplifying concepts for non-technical audiences.
- A skilled operator who organizes, plans, and executes projects effectively.
- You approach challenges with empathy, enthusiasm, and a solution-oriented mindset.
