Fiducial is an innovative and rapidly expanding deep-tech startup, pioneering advancements in autonomy, perception, and defense technologies. Our expertise lies in 3D vision and graphics technology, applied in both inspection and defense scenarios. This role primarily focuses on developing cutting-edge software for UAV situational awareness in military contexts, utilizing low-cost, widely available sensors and computational resources. We aim to create a series of interconnected solutions that enhance European security.

Our office is situated within the Aerospace Innovation Hub at the TU Delft campus, fostering collaboration with top-tier partners, including government agencies and academic institutions. We engage in projects ranging from large-scale tenders to low TRL research collaborations, blending innovation with practical deployment.
Your Responsibilities
In your role as a Forward Deployed System Integration Engineer - L2 (UAV Robotics), you will be instrumental in implementing our autonomy solutions in real-world applications. You will engage directly with drone hardware, integrating onboard systems, and deploying software on various UAV platforms, from nimble FPV drones to large fixed-wing aircraft.
This position is perfect for individuals who excel at making physical systems operational, enjoy working in the field, and possess a knack for problem-solving using practical engineering skills, Linux proficiency, and systematic testing approaches. You will be the vital link connecting our autonomy systems with the aircraft they control.
The L2 designation indicates a level of responsibility in scope, autonomy, and field engagement. It is part of our engineering career ladder (L1, L2, L3, etc.), providing a clear advancement pathway as you progress in your career.
