About the job
Join Us as a Founding Fullstack Engineer!
Location: New York City (5 days on-site) · Competitive salary + equity + benefits.
Overview: Help create the essential product for nuclear operators. Take complete ownership of features. This is a high-impact role at the forefront of innovation.
Our Mission
At Everstar, we are revolutionizing the nuclear power industry by creating an intelligence layer that makes nuclear energy truly deployable—reducing regulatory workflows from months to mere days. Our platform, Gordian, is already utilized by utilities, advanced reactor companies, and hyperscalers, combining deep nuclear expertise with world-class product execution at a startup pace.
We are seeking a Founding Fullstack Engineer who can transform complex engineering and regulatory workflows into seamless, production-ready software.
Join the Apollo Team of Nuclear and collaborate with engineers from leading companies like Tesla, SpaceX, and Google, while learning from nuclear and national security experts with backgrounds at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and CIA.
Your Role
This is an ownership-driven role with a focus on product development, not just a contract or feature factory.
You will design and implement product features from start to finish—covering everything from database architecture to API contracts to meticulous UI design, with a ratio of 60% frontend and 40% backend work. You'll have the autonomy to make technical decisions and the responsibility to drive results.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating user-centric features: transform complex regulatory workflows into elegant, user-friendly UI/UX that nuclear professionals will appreciate.
- Owning the technology stack: develop APIs, optimize database queries, implement front-end interactions, and troubleshoot production issues as needed.
- Defining product standards: you will have the opportunity to shape our approach to code quality, design systems, testing, and the overall product development life cycle.
- Collaborating with experts: engage with nuclear subject matter experts and AI engineers to understand intricate requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Balancing speed and craftsmanship: continuously iterate on designs and features based on user feedback and evolving needs.
