Qualifications
ResponsibilitiesSpearhead the architecture and high-level design of low-latency FPGA-based signal-processing solutions, engaging with complex wireless and high-performance signal chains (e.g., modulation schemes, FFT/OFDM, channel coding, synchronization, equalization), often in proximity to the RF front-end.Take ownership of the entire FPGA development cycle, from initial feasibility studies and architectural decisions to implementation, validation, and delivery of production-ready designs.Conduct system-level analyses and simulations to validate architectural choices, comprehend real-world performance limitations, and ensure the wireless link operates as intended under various constraints.Develop and maintain effective test benches and validation frameworks to reliably assess complex DSP pipelines, rapidly identify issues, and minimize debugging and integration time.Collaborate closely with hardware and embedded software teams to ensure seamless and reliable integration of FPGA designs into the overall system.Evaluate and select FPGA devices, tools, and ecosystems based on project-specific constraints, including latency, RF performance, power consumption, and long-term scalability.Define and document clear interfaces among FPGA, software, and hardware, architecting systems that are resilient now and adaptable for future developments.

About the Role
As an FPGA Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our existing FPGA engineer, focusing primarily on the RF and signal-processing components of our projects. This role is tailored for an individual who is highly self-sufficient, adept at taking initiative, and capable of steering technical decisions. You will share the responsibility for designing and implementing our FPGA-based signal-processing pipeline, working in conjunction with hardware and embedded software engineers to establish a robust and high-performance wireless connection between drones and ground stations.
