Opportunity Overview
Each project presents distinct tasks, and contributors may be involved in the following:
- Crafting complex energy engineering challenges that mirror real-world scenarios;
- Assessing AI solutions for accuracy, underlying assumptions, and constraints;
- Validating calculations or simulations utilizing Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy);
- Enhancing AI logic to comply with industry standards;
- Implementing structured scoring criteria for multi-faceted problems.
Qualifications We Seek
This opportunity is ideal for energy engineers with Python expertise who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Preferred candidates will possess:
- A degree in Energy Engineering or a related discipline, such as Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or Electronics;
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in energy engineering;
- Proficient written English skills (C1/C2 level);
- Strong proficiency in Python for numerical validation;
- A reliable internet connection.
Possession of professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, EMP, CEM) and experience with international or applied projects will be considered advantageous.

Project Time Expectations
For this role, the expected commitment is approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases, subject to project requirements. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload.
Compensation
Contributors can earn up to $55 per hour, depending on their level of expertise and contribution pace. Compensation may vary across projects based on scope, complexity, and required skillsets. Please be aware that other projects on the platform might offer different earning levels based on their specific needs.
