Role Overview:
Each project features distinct responsibilities, but contributors may be expected to:
- Create challenging energy engineering problems that reflect real-world practices;
- Assess AI solutions for accuracy, assumptions, and constraints;
- Validate calculations or simulations using Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy;
- Enhance AI reasoning capabilities to adhere to industry-standard logic;
- Employ structured scoring criteria for complex, multi-step problems.
Candidate Requirements:
This role is ideal for energy engineers with Python experience who are open to part-time, non-permanent engagements. Preferred qualifications include:
- A degree in Energy Engineering or related disciplines (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Electronics, etc.);
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in energy engineering;
- Proficiency in written English (C1/C2);
- Strong skills in Python for numerical validation;
- A stable internet connection.
Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, EMP, CEM) and experience with international or practical projects will be advantageous.

Application → Qualification Assessment → Project Participation → Task Completion → Payment
Time Commitment:
This project anticipates a workload of approximately 10–20 hours per week during active project phases, contingent on project demands. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload.
Compensation:
- Compensated contributions with rates up to $40/hour*;
- Fixed project rates or individual rates, depending on the specific project;
- Some projects include performance-based bonuses.
*Note: Payment rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project requirements, and other variables. Higher rates may be available for highly specialized experts. Lower rates may apply during onboarding or non-core project phases. Payment details will be provided for each project.
