Mindrift connects professionals with project-based AI opportunities for top technology firms, focusing on the testing, evaluation, and enhancement of AI systems. Engagement is project-based and does not constitute permanent employment.
Opportunity Overview:
Each project entails distinct tasks, and contributors may:
- Devise original computational statistics problems that emulate authentic mathematical research processes;
- Craft challenges necessitating Python programming for resolution (utilizing Numpy, SciPy, Sympy);
- Guarantee that problems are computationally demanding and cannot be resolved manually in a reasonable timeframe (days/weeks);
- Design problems requiring complex reasoning in domains such as number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis;
- Base problems on genuine research obstacles or practical scenarios from mathematical practice;
- Validate solutions using Python with standard mathematical libraries;
- Clearly articulate problem statements and provide verified accurate answers.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
This role is ideally suited for statistics professionals experienced in Python and open to part-time, non-permanent engagements. Qualified candidates should possess:
- A degree in Statistics or a related field;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation. Experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, or any programming language is acceptable;
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching roles;
- Strong written English skills (C1+);
- Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects are advantageous.
Workflow:
Apply → Pass qualifications → Join a project → Complete tasks → Receive payment
Project Time Expectations:
Tasks for this project are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases, based on project needs. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload.
Compensation:
Contributors on this project can earn up to $38 per hour, contingent upon their expertise and contribution pace. Compensation varies across projects based on their scope, complexity, and required skills. Please note that other projects on the platform may offer different earning potential based on their specific requirements.
