What This Opportunity Entails:
This role involves engaging in various unique project tasks, including:
- Creating original computational statistics problems that mimic authentic mathematical research workflows;
- Designing problems that require Python programming for resolution (utilizing libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and SymPy);
- Developing problems that are computationally demanding and cannot be resolved manually within practical timeframes (days/weeks);
- Formulating challenges that necessitate complex reasoning in subjects like number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis;
- Grounding problems in actual research obstacles or practical applications within mathematical practice;
- Validating solutions using Python and standard mathematical libraries;
- Documenting problem statements clearly and providing verified correct answers.
Desired Qualifications:
This opportunity is ideal for statistics experts with Python experience who are interested in part-time, non-permanent projects. Candidates should ideally possess:
- A degree in Statistics or a related discipline;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation, with knowledge in MATLAB, R, C, SQL, NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, or other domain-specific libraries being acceptable;
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, applicable in applied, research, or teaching contexts;
- Strong command of written English (C1+ proficiency);
- Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects are advantageous.

Project Time Expectations:
Tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases based on project needs. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload, applicable only while the project is active.
Compensation:
Contributors can earn up to $17 per hour, depending on their contribution level and pace. Compensation may vary across projects based on scope, complexity, and required expertise. Please note that other projects on the platform may offer different earning levels based on their unique requirements.
