Opportunity Overview
Each project presents unique challenges, and contributors may be tasked with:
- Designing innovative computational engineering problems that mimic real engineering workflows;
- Formulating problems necessitating Python programming to conduct engineering calculations and simulations;
- Ensuring the problems are computationally demanding and involve numerical methods or iterative solutions;
- Creating problems related to system design, optimization, and analysis;
- Grounding problems in real research challenges or practical engineering applications;
- Verifying solutions with Python utilizing standard engineering libraries;
- Providing clear documentation of problem statements along with verified correct answers.
Desired Qualifications
This role is ideal for engineers with Python expertise who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Qualified candidates should possess:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or any domain-specific libraries is also beneficial;
- At least 2 years of professional experience in applied, research, or educational settings;
- An understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations;
- Strong English writing skills (C1+ level);
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects is a plus.

Project Commitment
Tasks for each project are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases, contingent on project demands. This is a rough estimate and not a guaranteed workload, applicable only while the project is active.
Compensation Details
Contributors can earn up to $69 per hour, depending on their level of expertise and contribution pace. Compensation may vary across projects based on scope, complexity, and required expertise. Please note that other projects on the platform may offer different earning levels based on their specific requirements.
