Key Responsibilities
Contributors will engage in various tasks tailored to each project, which may include:
- Developing complex energy engineering challenges that reflect real-world professional practices;
- Assessing AI solutions for accuracy, underlying assumptions, and operational constraints;
- Validating calculations or simulations using Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy;
- Refining AI reasoning to ensure alignment with industry-standard logic;
- Applying structured scoring criteria to multi-step engineering problems.
Qualifications
This role is ideal for energy engineers with a background in Python, seeking part-time, non-permanent projects. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in Energy Engineering or related fields such as Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or Electronics;
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in energy engineering;
- Proficient written English skills (C1/C2 level);
- Strong Python proficiency for numerical validation;
- A reliable internet connection.
Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, EMP, CEM) and experience with international or applied projects are advantageous.

Task estimates range from 10 to 20 hours per week during active phases, depending on project requirements. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload.
Compensation
- Competitive pay for contributions, with rates up to $50/hour*;

- Some projects may offer incentive payments.
