Opportunity Overview
Each project offers distinct tasks, which may include:
- Crafting graduate and industry-level mechanical engineering challenges rooted in practical applications.
- Assessing AI-generated solutions for accuracy, foundational assumptions, and engineering logic.
- Using Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas) to validate analytical or numerical outcomes.
- Enhancing AI reasoning capabilities to ensure alignment with foundational principles and recognized engineering standards.
- Implementing structured scoring criteria for evaluation of multi-step problem-solving.
Candidate Profile
This role is ideal for mechanical engineers with Python experience who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Preferred qualifications include:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (e.g., Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Design, Computational Mechanics).
- Over 3 years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
- Proficient written English skills (C1/C2 level).
- Strong command of Python for numerical validation.
- A reliable internet connection.
Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, PMP) and involvement in international or applied projects are advantageous.
Project Workflow
Steps to participate: Apply → Pass qualifying assessments → Join a project → Execute assigned tasks → Receive payment.
Estimated Commitment
Project tasks are expected to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases, depending on project demands. This estimate is not a guarantee of workload and applies only while the project is ongoing.
Compensation
- Paid contributions with rates of up to $15/hour*
- Compensation may be based on fixed project rates or individual project rates.
- Some projects may offer incentive payments.
*Note: Rates are contingent on expertise, skills assessment, location, project specifications, and other factors. Higher rates may be available for highly specialized experts. Lower rates may apply during the onboarding process or non-core project phases. Specific payment details will be provided for each project.
