What This Role Entails
Each project presents distinct tasks, which may include:
- Creating mechanical engineering problems suitable for both graduate and industry levels, deeply rooted in practical applications.
- Assessing AI-generated solutions for accuracy, underlying assumptions, and adherence to engineering principles.
- Validating analytical or numerical outputs utilizing Python libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and Pandas.
- Refining AI reasoning to ensure alignment with fundamental principles and established engineering standards.
- Employing structured evaluation criteria to measure multi-step problem-solving capabilities.
What We Seek
This position is ideal for mechanical engineers with substantial Python experience who are open to part-time, non-permanent opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, such as Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Design, or Computational Mechanics.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering.
- Excellent command of written English (C1/C2 level).
- Strong proficiency in Python for numerical validation tasks.
- A stable internet connection.
Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, PMP) and experience with international or applied projects will be considered advantageous.

Project Time Commitment
The tasks for this project are estimated to require approximately 10-20 hours of work per week during active phases, which will depend on specific project needs. This estimate is not guaranteed and applies only while the project is active.
Compensation
- Competitive payment for contributions, with rates up to $50/hour*
- Fixed project rates or individual rates based on specific project requirements.
- Some projects may offer additional incentive payments.
