About the job
Please submit your CV in English and indicate your level of English proficiency.
At Mindrift, we bridge the gap between talented specialists and project-centric AI initiatives for leading technology firms. Our focus is on the testing, evaluation, and enhancement of AI systems. This is a project-based opportunity, not a permanent position.
Opportunity Overview
Each project presents unique challenges. Contributors may be involved in:
- Creating original computational physics problems that reflect authentic physics research methodologies;
- Developing problems that necessitate Python programming to solve, utilizing libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, and Sympy;
- Designing tasks that are computationally demanding and cannot be resolved manually within practical time frames (days or weeks);
- Formulating problems that require complex reasoning in areas such as mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics;
- Using real-world research problems or practical physics applications as a foundation for the tasks;
- Validating solutions through Python using established physics simulation libraries;
- Clearly documenting problem statements and providing verified solutions.
Candidate Requirements
This opportunity is ideal for quantum researchers experienced in Python who are open to part-time, temporary projects. Preferred qualifications include:
- A degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or a related discipline;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or any programming language is acceptable;
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, which can include applied research or teaching;
- Experience with numerical simulation techniques;
- The capability to design problems that replicate genuine physics research workflows;
- Innovative thinking in problem formulation across various fields of physics;
- Knowledge of physics modeling and approximation techniques;
- Strong English writing skills (C1 level or higher).
Application Process
Apply → Complete qualification(s) → Engage in a project → Fulfill tasks → Receive compensation
Time Commitment
During active project phases, tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week, based on project needs. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload.
Compensation Structure
Participants can earn up to $17 per hour, based on their contribution level and pace. Compensation varies by project depending on scope, complexity, and required expertise. Other projects on our platform may have different compensation rates.
