About the job
We invite you to submit your CV in English along with your English proficiency level.
Mindrift is at the forefront of connecting talented specialists with project-based AI roles for top-tier tech companies, concentrating on the evaluation, testing, and enhancement of AI systems. This engagement is project-based and does not constitute permanent employment.
Overview of the Opportunity
Each project presents distinct tasks where contributors may:
- Craft innovative computational physics challenges that replicate authentic physics research workflows;
- Construct problems that necessitate Python programming skills for resolution (utilizing libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, Sympy);
- Ensure that these problems are computationally demanding and cannot be resolved manually in a reasonable timeframe (days to weeks);
- Develop scenarios that require complex reasoning in areas such as mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics;
- Base problems on genuine research hurdles or practical implementations derived from physics;
- Validate solutions through Python employing standard physics simulation libraries;
- Clearly articulate problem statements and provide verified correct solutions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
This position is tailored for quantum researchers proficient in Python, seeking part-time, non-permanent roles. The ideal candidates should possess:
- A degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or a related discipline;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation. Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, Stata, or any programming language is acceptable;
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied research or teaching;
- Experience with numerical simulation techniques;
- The ability to create problems that accurately reflect real-world physics research processes;
- Creative problem-solving skills across various physics domains;
- Familiarity with physics modeling and approximation strategies;
- Excellent written English skills (C1+ level).
Process Overview
Apply → Pass qualifications → Join a project → Complete tasks → Receive payment.
Project Commitment Expectations
During active phases, tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week, contingent on project needs. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload during active project periods.
Compensation Details
Contributors can earn up to $10 per hour, depending on their contribution level and efficiency. Compensation may vary across different projects based on their scope, complexity, and required skill sets. Please note that other projects on the platform may offer varying earning potential based on their specific demands.
