SUMMARY: As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness and minor maintenance of all facilities under your supervision, including lawn care and upkeep of the surrounding areas. Strong communication skills with residents, staff, and management are essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas and leasing office.
- Prepare vacant units for new occupancy by cleaning appliances, cabinets, light fixtures, and more.
- Ensure the property is free of trash and maintain a safe, clean exterior.
- Manage snow and ice removal, including shoveling and salting sidewalks and parking areas.
- Keep parking lots clean and well-maintained.
- Report any resident concerns or safety issues to the supervisor.
- Foster positive relationships with residents through effective communication.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as service requests and timesheets.
- Communicate maintenance needs and tenant issues to management.
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS: The Caretaker reports directly to the Property Manager and does not supervise other employees.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Ideal candidates will meet the qualifications to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Experience in property maintenance or a related field is a plus.
