Join the dynamic team at Mercure Sydney Blacktown as a Full-Time Commis Chef, where your culinary skills will shine in a vibrant hospitality environment. Primarily working the breakfast shift, you will be responsible for preparing and serving delectable food for the hotel buffet breakfast, alongside food preparation for our all-day dining menu and the Distrikt Cafe.
Your Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage kitchen operations during breakfast service to ensure a high-quality dining experience.
Maintain exceptional standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality.
Prepare and serve breakfast items for the hotel buffet.
Assist in food preparation for the Distrikt Cafe and the all-day dining menu.
Foster strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery and quality of ingredients.
Keep the kitchen clean and ensure all dishes are washed and organized at the end of each shift.
Support the General Manager with food orders and inventory management.
Supervise kitchen attendants as necessary.
