Join our dynamic team at the Qantas Lounges by Accor in Sydney as a Full-Time Kitchen Hand. You will play a vital role under the supervision of the Executive Chef, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment, utilizing both industrial dishwashing machines and hand washing as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of dishwashing machines, promptly reporting any issues to management.
- Follow operational guidelines for dishwashing machine use as per the instruction manual.
- Dispose of waste, garbage, and recycling responsibly.
- Perform cleaning tasks in the kitchen, food preparation areas, and scullery.
- Adhere to strict Health & Hygiene regulations to ensure cleanliness throughout all kitchen environments.
- Handle chemicals and equipment according to manufacturers' instructions to promote safety.
- Assist in preparing mise-en-place as required.
- Foster a safe work environment by identifying hazards and adhering to workplace health and safety protocols.
- Provide occasional support to kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and filling water containers.
- Work on a rotational roster, demonstrating flexibility in work hours.
